A personal site with an airfield

A procedural 3D aircraft collection, a writing system, and an analog flight deck.

A place for aircraft, projects, and writing.

This site brings together aerospace, flying, software, and the work I want to share. Its centerpiece is an original 3D interpretation of my favorite aircraft: the TBM 900 in silver, black, and blue.

A place to explore

The aircraft is built from procedural geometry. Its fuselage, wings, windows, propeller, landing gear, and paint surfaces are drawn in code. You can turn the view, pause the motion, and extend the gear.

The 3D airfield turns navigation into a small place to explore. The analog flight deck preserves the previous homepage, with its Piper-inspired instruments and weather display.

Writing without a database

Posts, notes, projects, and flight records live in files. The site uses Next.js and a Neovim-first writing CLI, with Markdown and MDX for longer pieces.

The logbook holds writing, the kneeboard holds short notes, and the chart gives places their own view.

Making the 3D optional

The site’s links and writing work independently of the renderer. A static aircraft illustration appears while the 3D scene loads or when WebGL is unavailable. Reduced-motion preferences pause the aircraft, and the renderer stops drawing when its scene is offscreen.

The original site was archived before this redesign. The flight deck remains here as a working part of the site.
